Lamps & Shades is a family owned local business in the Texas Hill country. We have operated our shop for 30 years. Our charming store- that sells lighting, gifts, and home decor- is nestled in the historic Old Ingram Loop along the Guadalupe River. Mom and Pop shops like ours draw in locals and tourists from all over, year round.
As you know, on July 4 catastrophic flooding ripped through the area and claimed hundreds of lives, including so many young children. Families are going through the unimaginable. We have lost several close friends. The unthinkable loss of life has devastated this community and far beyond.
While attempting to process the profound grief of lives lost, people in the Hill Country are also dealing with homes and businesses that have been lost to the flood waters. Our shop sustained almost 4 feet of water. Thankfully, we have been able to recover a good amount of inventory that was not impacted. While the future is extremely uncertain, and we are not sure when we will be able to reopen, we are humbly extending an opportunity for you to help.
We are offering mystery gift boxes that can be purchased at varying price points, as a way for friends and family to shop locally in Central Texas during this most trying time. Each mystery box will contain a variety of brand new gift items valued at, or above, the designated amount. A portion of all sales will also go to The Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country Kerr County Relief Fund.
What you receive will be a very nice surprise for you with items to enjoy personally or use next time you need a nice gift for someone. Boxes will be shipped out in the coming weeks.
